Swimming Saint Bernard
We just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with your product. We purchased the life jacket for Bowser, our Saint Bernard, for our family trip to the lake. At first we weren't sure how he was going to do with it, but boy oh boy did he love it! Anytime we went to get on the boat he would scour the yard for his vest, and once he found it he wouldn't leave us alone until we put it on him. Thank you for making a quality product.

Boating Labs
We recently acquired your life jackets and doggy boat ladder for our two labs Chipper and Callie. Though great swimmers, the life jackets help keep them afloat through waves, and of course they look quite stylish. The ladder is fast and easy to attach, both dogs figured it out right away and our lower backs thank you. Hauling 77 and 90 lbs of wet dog into a boat is not easy. We have highly recommended your products to our pet-owning boating friends. Thank you Paws Aboard!

What makes a good dog owner? 6 Common traits.
What makes a good dog? Easy; a good dog owner! There are some common traits in owners that ensure well behaved and overall happy dogs. This is not rocket science, but it does take a little effort. Do you share any of these top dog owner traits?
1. Training your dog
-Great dog owners spend time training their dogs. This is the best way to communicate with your dog and relay your expectations on them. Obviously your dog has no initial idea that they are not supposed to pull on leash, jump on guests, or to come back when called upon. They must be trained on this and the best way is one on one in a stress free environment, not on the spot when they are misbehaving as they can easily get confused.
2. Exercise
-Because dogs spend a lot of time just waiting around for us and when we’re at work or busy, they are just hanging out waiting for us to do something with them. Dogs are extremely social and truly want constant interaction. Taking them for a walk is just not enough as they need two forms of exercise - mental and physical.
3. Good food
-Not all dog foods are created equal. Feeding your dog a good diet is very important. Look at some of the labels on dog food. Some of them are loaded with chemicals, dyes, sugar and low grade products. Dogs don’t need gourmet food, but there are many healthy affordable options out there right now.
4. Leadership
-Dogs are social pack animals. They survive by living together in packs. In order for that pack to survive they need to develop a social structure with a leader. When you dog comes into the house, you need to become the pack leader just like Cesar (dog whisperer) always says. By becoming the pack leader your dog will know where they fit in. Becoming the pack leader does not mean that you have to be forceful. It simply means that you need to control the activities that are important to your dog which are sleeping, eating, playing, and social contact.
5. Play
-Dogs live to play. Ever watch a group of puppies together? It is one of my favorite things to do. A group of puppies will jump, run, tug, and have a great time together. Playing with your dog is a great way to exercise and bond with your dog. It will also fulfill an important need in your dog.
-Some of the best dog owners I know are the ones who are patient. Having a dog, especially a young one, can be very trying. Don’t give up on training, consistency is always the key to success!
